Failure to Disclose: In the Letter to the Editor entitled “Alcohol Advertising During Televised Sports and Alcohol Consumption by Adolescents” published in the August 5, 2009, issue of JAMA (2009;302[5]:487-488), a financial disclosure was not reported. The following paragraph should replace the disclosure paragraph in the first letter by Dr Turner, and a letter of apology accompanies this correction.

Financial Disclosures: Dr Turner reported being executive director of the National Social Norms Institute, which was funded in 2006 by a gift from the Anheuser-Busch Foundation ($2.5 million). The University of Virginia has also received funding from Anheuser-Busch Companies for social norms marketing (Office of Health Promotion, Student Health), public service announcements during certain athletic events, and research projects in the College of Arts and Sciences. None of these programs are linked financially to salary support. Dr Turner also reported that in the past 5 years he has been a consultant for and received speaking fees from Merck and Sanofi Pasteur.
