In the Medical News & Perspectives article entitled "France and United Kingdom Channel Efforts to Improve Health Services," published in the August 26, 1998, issue of THE JOURNAL (1998;280:681-683), in the seventh full paragraph on page 683, the title of James Goldberg was incorrect. The title read "James Goldberg, MD, PhD, director of France's National Agency for Accreditation and Evaluation in Health." It should have read "James Goldberg, MD, PhD, director of international relations of France's National Agency for Accreditation and Evaluation in Health." The general director is Professor Yves Matillon and the director of the Department of Evaluation is Dr Hervé Maisonneuve.
