To the Editor. — I read with great interest Dennis L. Breo's At Large tribute to Dr Forest Tennant, the former drug adviser to the National Football League (NFL).1 Breo's column came in response to a series of investigative reports I presented over the past year on WJLA-TV (ABC) in Washington, DC.The investigation focused on the league's drug-testing policy, which we found lacked accuracy and confidentiality and was only selectively enforced. Dr Tennant announced his resignation 1 month after our initial series of reports.As I began to read Breo's comments, I soon realized that he had probably not seen any of those reports.There were no specific criticisms. Indeed, Breo's first insinuation that some of Dr Tennant's former employees, who had supplied information and documents to me, "may have been paid" is flat wrong. He also states that my reports were "based, in large degree, upon transcripts
