In Reply.— I am most grateful for the interesting letters received since publication of the case report on spontaneous fistula. Two cases displaying features similar to that case report have come to my attention, including the interesting article by Rubio and Morris1 as well as a lucid report by George L. Hines, MD et al.2 Neither case appeared in the extensive MEDLINE search I reviewed in preparation of the original article. I recently searched the Cumulated Index Medicus, volumes 19 (1978), 20 (1979), and 21 (1980), and could find neither of these reports listed or indexed under the appropriate author and subject listings, although they are certainly worthy of such ready access in the medical literature.
