—In your issue of April 11 there appeared an article on "Light in the Treatment of Lupus and Other Chronic Skin Affections," to which I wish to offer the following criticism, in order to correct some possible mistaken impressions, and any resulting deleterious influences: The four cases of lupus, reported cured by this method, bear no resemblance to lupus, either from the appearance of the pictures or from the clinical history. The process not only began too late in life, in adults from 21 to 52 years of age, but also pursued an entirely too rapid course, two weeks to one year in each individual case.
