—Dr. R. Dominguez, who was co-author with Dr. H. A. Fadhli of the original contribution titled "ABO Blood Groups and Multiple Cancers" (185:757-759 [Sept 7]), has written that the next to last sentence in the first paragraph under "Present Study" (page 757) was a misquotation. Reading "In 1961, Moertel et al7 excluded multiple hepatoma but accepted multiple myeloma," the sentence should be corrected to read "In 1961, Moertel et al7 excluded multiple hepatoma, multiple myeloma, and other tumors of the reticuloendothelial system." This is a reference to the discussion by Moertel et al, which was concluded, "Our present knowledge of the nature and pathogenesis of these disease processes is so scant, however, that it is premature to conclude that they [lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and Kaposi's sarcoma] should be classified with the other examples of multicentric malignant neoplasms discussed in this paper."
