TWELVE FELLOWSHIPS for research in clinical nutrition have been awarded by the Nutrition Foundation, Inc., and the Council on Foods and Nutrition. They have been given in honor of Dr. Edwards Albert Park, recipient of the 1962 Joseph Goldberger Award in Clinical Nutrition. A fellowship is granted to a medical student to permit him to carry on research in some phase of clinical nutrition during the nonacademic portion of the school year. Each grant consists of $600. Application is made by a senior investigator and the fellowship is administered by him. The Council was impressed with the interest shown in these fellowships and had a difficult time selecting 12 students from the many meritorious applicants.
