As a part of a program to conduct timely studies relevant to the fields of medical education and licensure, the AMA Department of Medical Education has established several ongoing projects to explore various facets of these topics. This section of "Medical Education in the United States" is intended to give a brief acquaintance with these studies and to summarize their findings. The following current studies, although incomplete, are reported for their general interest to American medical education and will be reported in complete detail in subsequent publications.

Accurate data are available on foreign medical graduates, who are residing in the United States, relating to the country of origin of their medical education.
