Nevertheless, vaccinations should begin soon after Sept 1, especially among the aged and other high risk groups, the PHS's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends.
The polyvalent vaccine employed in 1966-1967 vaccinations will be of the same composition as that used this year, the report continued.
In its statement issued by the Communicable Disease Center, Atlanta, the government-universityindustry committee based its statements on the following:
• Influenza was confirmed in 49 of the 50 states during the past "season." Only Missouri failed to report isolation to the CDC. Twenty states reported both Types A and B.
