ABSTRACT

Grants, Awards  Yale University and Western Reserve University have been named recipients of grants from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek Mich.Yale's grant totaling $153,150 will be used to expand its program in education for hospital administration.Kellogg's grant to Western Reserve will be used to effect a major change in the relationship between WRU's Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and the Department of Nursing at the hospitals promoting better integration of all nursing activities in the university medical center.A $236,000 grant to help the Children's Hospital Medical Center, Boston, expand its research and diagnostic facilities related to heart problems of children, has been made by the John A. Hartford Foundation, Inc., of New York.The augmented facilities will permit cardiac catheterization of a patient in the hospital's hyperbaric chamber while under increased oxygen pressure; provide opportunities for studies of individuals with conditions of research
