E. H. Christopherson, MD, executive director of the American Academy of Pediatrics, was the recipient of the American Medical Association's 1966 Abraham Jacobi Award for his "lifelong devotion to the art and science of child care."Dr. Christopherson received the award consisting of $1,000 and a certificate during the AMA's annual convention in Chicago.The Jacobi Award was established by the AMA's Section on Pediatrics in 1962 and is named after Abraham Jacobi, MD, founder of the first American pediatric clinic in 1860.Dr. Christopherson was recently elected chairman of the Council on National Organizations for Children and Youth, Washington, DC. The Council is comprised of approximately 350 national organizations.J.
