"A 14% Prevalence Deserves Our Respect!"More than deserving respect, a 14% prevalence of carcinoma of the cervix among women in their twenties should cause alarm. The actual prevalence in the study was approximately 0.7%, assuming the 18,160 examinations to have been in that number of individual women. Even then, it was only a prevalence among the examined. The 14% "prevalence" represented the percentage of all patients with cervical cancer who were aged 20 through 29 years at the time of diagnosis.
