Studies of a number of viruses which may cause congenital heart defects in unborn babies will continue at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, under a renewed grant of $33,594 from the National Foundation March of Dimes.The research is under the direction of Gordon C. Brown, ScD, professor of epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the university.A $32,083 grant has been awarded by the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md, to Benjamin F. Trump, MD, associate professor of pathology at Duke University Medical Center, for kidney research. Dr. Trump's work involves studying structural and functional changes in the cells in the kidneys after various types of injuries.Dr. Trump comes to Duke from the University of Washington, Seattle.A grant of $6,875 which will aid in the research on hearing and balance disorders has been received by the Albany (NY) Medical College from the
