To the Editor:—
Your All Saints' Day issue arrived while I was recovering from the Halloween siege of Trick-or-Treats. We had weathered the neighborhood children, with their sickly demands for sweets, and I propped old JAMA in front of my coffee, muttering, "Where were the tricks of yesteryear, oh where, oh where, oh where?"Then I hit old page 571, and there she was! Unknown to myself I had poisoned the entire juvenile community with deadly cyclamate. I had tricked them. I could see them staggering off to school, saccharinated to inferno. You doubt me? Well, see old JAMA (194:571). Grrrr.
