Charles L. Hudson, MD, Cleveland internist, was named president-elect of the American Medical Association by the House of Delegates at the 114th Annual Convention in New York.
Hudson had served on the AMA's Board of Trustees since 1961, when he was named to fill an unexpired term. He was reelected to a full five-year term in 1962.
As president-elect, he is scheduled to take office as AMA President at the 1966 Annual Convention in Chicago.
Hudson practices internal medicine in the Cleveland Clinic, and is associate professor of medicine, Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation. He served as president of the Ohio State Medical Association in 1955-1956, and is a past-president of the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Medical Society.
Born in 1904 in Merrill, Mich, Hudson received his MD degree from the University of Michigan in 1930. His internship and residency were at Lakeside Hospital, Cleveland, and he then accepted a twoyear fellowship
