To the Editor:—
Was the editorial attempting to pull the reader's leg? The writer among other things stresses brevity in prose writing. Unfortunately, the first and only sentence of the second paragraph contains 114 words! In pulmonary function testing for dyspnea, recitation of this sentence may have merit. Also I agree with the author: "The longer a sentence, the more likely we will lose its point." Maybe this editorial was meant for smile a while. I don't know.
