To the Editor:—
The Editor of The Journal is an internist. The lead editorial in the Nov 9 issue deals with baby burping—strictly a pediatric problem. What goes? When will these lesser-educated internists quit trying to horn in on the problems of their better-educated colleagues? If they must deal with burping, let them deal with their own beerdrinking patients. Let not their dirty hands touch or molest the birth bubble of air that lies in the bulging midsection of the innocent babe.
