Compared with the much-praised first edition, published in 2002, many changes have been made in this second edition of the Textbook of Anxiety Disorders. Most obvious is the more than 50% increase in the number of pages. Although some changes consist simply of rephrasing old paragraphs, nearly all chapters are thoroughly revised and expanded to incorporate the large amount of new data published since the first edition. Four new chapters have been added; also new are the useful “Key Clinical Points” and “Recommended Readings” sections at the end of most chapters.
