This new anatomy by Bevan, of Rush Medical College, in affiliation with the University of Chicago; Gerrish of Bowdoin; Keiller of the University of Texas; McMurrich of the University of Michigan; Stewart of the University and Bellevue of New York, and Woolsey of Cornell—the professors of anatomy at their respective schools—has been written for the use of medical students as a text-book, and as a ready reference book for practitioners.
The authors are to be congratulated on having produced an anatomy which presents the essentials of the science in a clear, concise and complete form, The illustrations are more numerous and instructive than those of any single volume of anatomy so far published. The American profession, which has heretofore depended almost entirely on foreign text-books of anatomy, will appreciate this work by American authors.
