To the Editor:  —I am most unalterably opposed to the proposed change.It is very evident that the movement for the change from Chicago to Washington has had its origin in the minds of some, who are very reluctant to admit the fact which should be plainly apparent to all, that not only the centre of population but the financial and intellectual centres are surely moving westward. Nothing worthy the name of argument has as yet been advanced in favor of it, neither can there be, for there is none to offer.Some of the reflections which have recently been cast upon the management of The Journal, and upon the character of its contents, have been, to say the very least, uncalled for and out of place.
