ARKANSAS.
Illegal Practitioner Fined.
—Dr. Clement L. Katz, Morrison Bluff, has been fined $25 at Paris, for practicing medicine without a license.
Smallpox.
—Ward, Lonoke County, reports about 20 cases of smallpox three miles north of the town.—Many cases are reported around Butlerville.—In these two neighborhoods there are said to have been 8 or 10 deaths from the disease.
Building for Doctors.
—Work will be commenced in a few days on the new three-story office building which is to be put up by the Medical Building Company of Little Rock, at a cost of $50,000, and is designed for the use of physicians and dentists.
Hot Springs "Drummers" Must Go.
—The following commissioners have been designated by the secretary of the interior to take up and regulate the practice of medicine at Hot Springs: Drs. William H. Barry and Samuel B. Steele and Hon. Charles D. Greaves.
