SUCCESSFUL REMOVAL OF AN EIGHTY-NINE-POUND CYSTIC MYOMA INTACT. As will be noted from the following history, this patient was cognizant of the fact that the tumor had existed for over 20 years. At that time she was under the care of Dr. James Bosley, the present health officer of Baltimore. Further, it will be seen that this large growth did not prevent her from looking after her household duties until recently, and less than three months before the operation she took a 180-mile trip with no ill effects. This, so far as we can learn, is the largest myoma of the uterus that has been successfully removed. The patient is now, eight months after the operation, in perfect health and is gaining rapidly in weight.

Case 1. —Mrs. McA., aged 58, was seen in consultation with Dr. Marshall Smith, June 25, 1906.
