This book is based on the author's graduate course of lectures on this subject. He very modestly suggests in his preface that the book is suitable particularly for the general practitioner who requires a pithy presentation of cases, whereas it is a work that any ophthalmologist may read with profit. The main feature of the book is its purely clinical consideration of the various eye injuries with the appropriate treatment. The stock formulas of the Glasgow Ophthalmic Institution are given in an appendix. The book is very freely illustrated with colored plates and drawings and is printed in large type on heavy paper. Dr. Ramsey's large practical experience in the care of eye injuries makes his views invaluable and we heartily recommend his book.
