Following is a report of a case in which the righ external iliac artery was ligated for the cure of an aneur m of the common femoral:
History.
—G. M., age 30 years; nativity, Massachusetts; color, white; admitted into hospital May 24, 1904, suffering with an aneurism of the right common femoral artery. The patient had been aware of the existence of the affection for about six weeks. The tumor resembled a small bubo, just below Poupart's ligament. Expansile pulsation very perceptible. No history of syphilis. Arteries elsewhere soft and pliable. No disease of heart, lungs or kidneys. Physique slender, but well nourished. The patient gave a history of having had a suppurating bubo in the right groin eleven years before, which burst spontaneously while he was at sea and which left a sear, slightly above the level of the aneurism.
