Below is given a brief description of every college in the United States that is legally chartered to confer the degree of doctor of medicine, and whose diploma is recognized by at least one state licensing board. The list includes the sectarian as well as the regular colleges, as their graduates are physicians in the eyes of the law. Extracts from these rules are given at the close of the list of colleges.
