—Dr. Fitch C. E. Mattison, Pasadena, was severely burned about the head in extinguishing a fire which broke out in the room adjoining the operating room of the Pasadena Hospital.
Surplus Relief Funds.
—It is stated in the daily press that one-half of the $4,000,000 still said to be on hand for the relief of San Francisco refugees may be used in the establishment of a general hospital in San Francisco.
