—In the editorial comments of the issue of the Journal for Dec. 19,1896, page 1307, you have a paragraph on "Mirror Speech," quoted from the Bulletin of the Progrès Médical, November 28, you do not state where the little patient was trephined, whether on the left or right side of the head or over what portion of the hemisphere.I have been engaged in working up speech defects of late and in one case, cyst of the brain, there was a transposition of the letters of words. The patient talked nearly normally, but writing was almost unintelligible from the transposition of the letters, but it was not "mirror speech."
