ABSTRACT

The most recent addition to the state journals is the West Virginia Medical Journal, which, with its August number "with its very best bow, steps modestly into the charmed circle of state medical society journalism, and hopes for a warm welcome." There is little fear that it will be disappointed, as it covers a territory in which a clean, ably edited and aggressive state journal is greatly needed. The first number, carefully edited and well printed, appears in magazine form, 7 × 9¾, with fifty pages of reading matter mainly devoted to papers read at the last annual meeting of the state association, together with the minutes of the House of Delegates and news from county societies. The number also contains a complete alphabetical list of the members of the state association. The new journal is in the hands of a committee on publication, consisting of Drs. S. L. Jepson,
