ABSTRACT

Member or Subscriber?  In the American Medical Directory, now being prepared for the press, members of the American Medical Association will be designated by the symbol [unk]. There are a number of physicians taking The Journal as subscribers who are eligible to membership. Any one in doubt as to whether he is receiving The Journal as a member or as a subscriber can refer to the address label on the wrapper of his Journal; if the month and year appear, such as "7-1-06," it means that the name is on the list of subscribers; if only the year "06," or no date at all appears, the name is on the membership roster. On advertising page 40 in this issue is an application blank, and any subscriber who is eligible, desiring to become a member, can be transferred to the membership roll by signing the application, having it certified by the
