In his appreciative, genial and always interesting gossip of the month Malcolm Morris, editor of The Practitioner, takes occasion in the current mensual to say some very pleasant things about the American Medical Association and its Journal, which it will, no doubt, gratify the members of the one and the readers of the other to see reproduced.
While it is pointed out that our Association is a much smaller, and less wealthy body than the British organization, Mr. Morris, basing his judgment on the reports of the recent Baltimore meeting, holds that the scientific work which it does is no whit inferior in quality and but little inferior in quantity to that of its cis-Atlantic homologue. "The general level of the communications was high, but I was particularly struck by the importance of those dealing with surgical and gynecologic subjects."
