To the Editor:
—In reading the excellent paper and discussion in the last issue of The Journal, on prevention of typhoid, I wish to add the boiling as well as scalding of all dishes and tableware. In this remote, ranching, watershed locality typhoid is commencing to occur (imported). Hotel knives and forks, etc., seem conveyors from transients to residents. Cases guarded as above with, of course, other precautions, have been limited to one in a family, while those not under such care have spread.
