ABSTRACT

Many of the papers published in this volume appeared in this Journal at the time of the meeting, and a full report of the proceedings will be found in the Journal of Oct. 21, 1893. The publication of the transactions is of value to those who wish to preserve them in permanent form, and no volumes have been better prepared, or printed in better general style than those of the American Public Health Association. In some respects, it will be a pity if the committee shall abolish the plan of printing the annual transactions, and with the additional matter that will properly come with the quarterly journal of public health, there will come also a feeling of regret at the absence of the scholarly and good-looking volumes from the library shelves.
