This work is minute and detailed enough to serve the needs of the general practitioner and surgeon for constant consultation and is also sufficiently compact to serve as a text-book for students. It is copiously illustrated with photographs, diagrams, cross-sections, etc. All of the illustrations are good and many of them are admirable and of particular value as graphic aids to the teacher. The typographical work on the second edition is, if anything, better than on the first, the paper being of a heavy quality and the type clear and pleasing. The book is bound in buckram and is of convenient size.
