Our readers are probably aware that in the competition for the plans of the King Edward VII sanatorium the prize was awarded to Dr. Arthur Latham, assistant physician at the Brompton Hospital for Consumption and Diseases of the Chest. Dr. Latham has brought together a series of articles which he has published during the last few years, especially on the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases, and with especial reference to the sanatorium treatment. He has contributed a valuable memoir to the literature of this at present very much written up disorder. The book is well arranged, and contains a large amount of practical information.
