In the Congregationalist, November 16, appears a review of an advance copy of a book entitled "Christian Science and Physical Healing" by Rev. Lyman P. Powell, rector of the Episcopal Church of Northampton, Mass. This book is declared by the editors of the Congregationalist to be "one of the most valuable contributions on the subject that has yet been made." An examination of a summary of the book would seem to justify this opinion. In no sense is it a vituperative or sensational attack on Eddyism, but simply a thorough, scientific investigation of its claims and characteristics.
