Against Advertising Specialists.  —The San Francisco Board of Health has recommended the passage of an ordinance prohibiting medical specialists from advertising. The board declares that: "The claims toward curing diseases which are made by this class of fraudulent so-called practitioners are but a lure to attract the innocent and inexperienced."

Permanent Home for Society.  —At the meeting of the Board of Councilors of the Los Angeles Medical Association, July 17, a resolution was adopted, providing for the formation of a separate committee to be known as the Permanent Quarters Committee to have control of the funds set aside for permanent quarters for
