—A cocain addict of Galesburg entered the office of Dr. George D. Prewett, Peoria, November 5, and demanded cocain, and when refused attempted violence.

—Dr. John H. Riley, DeKalb, who has been ill for several weeks, is now reported to be improving.—Prof. Oliver H. Moore of the University of Illinois, who has recently returned from the war zone, gave a talk before the Y. W. C.
