University of Illinois Gets Appropriation.
—Governor Deneen has signed the bill providing for an appropriation of over three and a half million dollars for the immediate support of the University of Illinois and for a mill tax each year for the future. Another item in the bill provides $60,000 per year for two years for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Chicago, which will hereafter be known as the College of Medicine of the University of Illinois.
