New Officers Elected.
—At a meeting of the California Board of Medical Examiners, held October 15, the following officers were elected: Dr. Percy T. Phillips, Santa Cruz, president; Dr. Harry V. Brown, Los Angeles, vice president, and Dr. Charles B. Pinkham, San Francisco, secretary-treasurer.
New Tuberculosis Sanatorium.
—The board of supervisors of Los Angeles County has recommended the purchase of the 454-acre Wilson ranch property at Sylmar, in the San Fernando Valley, as a site for a tuberculosis sanatorium for the joint use of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. It is planned to expend $100,000 for the erection of buildings, of which Los Angeles will appropriate $70,000, the balance being divided between Santa Barbara and Ventura
