This is a volume of far more than ordinary interest, and we feel like congratulating the Association on the superior character of the work done and on the excellence with which the editor has performed his part. More than forty papers were presented at the meeting in question, and it is not too much to say that all are of a highly meritorious character. Of especial interest are the discussions of various important subjects in which the leading topics are considered seriatim, as for example the " Discussion on Puerperal Septicæmia." In this the " Introductory Remarks" were made by Dr. C. C. Frederick; then followed a series of six leading questions, some of them particularly comprehensive in character.
