The medical profession of Canada was ably represented at the annual meeting of the Association at Newport.
The eloquent address of Sir James Grant was greeted with rounds of applause, and its noble sentiments met with generous response. In this issue of The Journal a brief abstract of the address will be found.
Another worthy representative of the profession was Professor James Stewart, Registrar of McGill University, one of the editors of the Montreal Medical Journal. The able articles which have eminated from his pen have been widely quoted. A hearty welcome was accorded to the entire delegation. It is to be hoped that at the next annual meeting, when it shall convene at Nashville, the American Medical Association will be honored with a like representation, from Canada.
