The Council on Pharmacy and Chemistry has certain rules governing the admission of proprietary and other medicinal products to New and Nonofficial Remedies (N. N. R.). A large number of preparations are ineligible to N. N. R. because they are exploited in nonconformity with Rule 4, which reads:
"Indirect Advertising.
—No article will be admitted whose label, package or circular accompanying the package contains the names of diseases, in the treatment of which the article is said to be indicated. The therapeutic indications, properties and doses may be stated.
