Auxiliary Staff at County Hospital.
—To facilitate the performance of emergency operations at Cook County Hospital, the Civil Service Commission has appointed six physicians to assist the regular attending staff. The new positions of chief of staff, night surgeon, and medical statistician have been created at the hospital.

—Dr. Joseph P. Pecival, formerly superintendent of the State Hospital for the Insane, Norfolk, Neb., has been appointed superintendent of the Cook County Institutions, Dunning.—Drs. John A. Graham. George N. Pratt and Hugh N. MacKechnie, Chicago, have been appointed as the voluntary attending medical staff in the Oak Forest Infirmary. One of the new appointees is to visit the institution each day.—The damage suit instituted against Dr. John
