As appears from the title, a number of German and American embryologists have collaborated in the production of this important work, which appears simultaneously in Germany and in America. The chapters originally written in German have been translated by Professor McMurrich and the chapters originally written in English have been translated by Professor Keibel. The work is in two imperial octavo volumes. The text is handsomely illustrated.
