—St. Mary's Hospital, Douglas, was burned February 10, with a loss of about $5,000. The patients were removed without casualty.
—At the annual meeting of the Pima County Medical Society, held in Tucson, Dr. Ira E. Huffman was elected president; Dr. Abram Morrison, vice-president, and Dr. A. Garfield Schnabel, secretary-treasurer, all of Tucson.
Convicted of Violating Health Law.
—A jury in Phoenix is said to have found Dr. Benjamin B. Moeur, Tempe, guilty of a misdemeanor in failing to report to the Maricopa county board of health, a case of smallpox in that city, and a fine of $20 was imposed. Dr. Henry A. Hughes, superintendent of the county board of health, was the complaining witness in the case. The defendant's attorney gave notice of his intention to appeal to the district court.
