Although the form of epithelioma about to be described in this paper presents such peculiar clinical features, it has not yet, so far as I know, been mentioned in text-books of surgery and is only very briefly alluded to in but one text-book of dermatology. I have, therefore, thought it might be of some interest to call attention to it very briefly and to report some illustrative cases which have come under my observation in the past few years.
