Convicted of Manslaughter.
—Dr. W. L. Noel, charged with killing Jesse E. Roberts, town marshal of Boaz, is said to have been found guilty of manslaughter, May 1, and sentenced to imprisonment for seven years in the penitentiary. The usual notice of appeal was given.
Elections.
—At the annual meeting of the Alumni Association of the Medical Department of the University of Alabama, Mobile, the following officers were elected: President, Dr. Samuel G. Gay, Selma; vice-presidents, Drs. Parker J. Glass, Mobile, and W. A. Sellars, Montgomery; secretary-treasurer, Dr. Percy J. Howard, Mobile, and orator, Dr. J. Maxwell Austin, Wetumpka.
