These lectures, delivered in 1905, have been revised by the author. The reader who expects to find only a treatise on therapeutics of the circulation will be disappointed because 108 of the 280 pages in the book are devoted to physiology and the instruments by which this subject can be studied in the laboratory and clinic. This portion of the book is written in Brunton's usual style, and is full of his own observations and interpretations of facts. Lectures 4 and 5 discuss the therapeutics of various heart diseases and conditions.
