ARIZONA
Ask Appropriation for Laboratory.—The physicians of Arizona are making a concerted effort for an appropriation for $1,200 by the legislature for a bacteriologic and chemical laboratory at the University of Arizona, especially equipped for tests of milk, water and food.
Hospital to be Enlarged.
—General plans have been completed for the new Whitwell Hospital, Tucson, which was recently destroyed by fire. The new building will be a fireproof structure throughout; will be two stories in height, and will contain rooms for thirty-two patients, in addition to two large wards. The accommodation of the hospital will be more than double that of the old building.
Society Meetings.
