Commencement Exercises.
—At the fourteenth annual commencement exercises of the Birmingham Medical College, April 3, a class of twenty was graduated. The address of the evening was given by President C. C. Thach, of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute.
Smallpox.
—The number of cases in Montgomery is said to be gradually decreasing. Twelve patients were recently discharged from the Emergency Hospital and three new patients entered the hospital.—During March there were 17 cases in the Madison County Isolation Hospital, Huntsville, and 7 patients remained there at the end of the month.—In one house in Birmingham 13 cases of smallpox were found on March 25.—It is said that at least 50,000 vaccinations have been made within the city limits of Birmingham.
